i figured tht it was time fr a new bloggie addie. so here we r in our new virtual home.. & here i m posting in the wee hours of the morn cause i m super excited over it & also cause i m too freaked out over a cockroach to sleep.
& the story abt the cockroach starts @ 9.45 am yest morn whn i hear the buzzing sound of workers fogging the flat. they were smoking out the pests & hubby told me tht there were cockroaches @ the void-deck whn he came back frm the shop. silly me, i thought tht they cockroaches will never climb up to our plc. hah! woman u live in the 2nd storey...
so there i was a few hours ago... reading blogs & basically taking a bit of time fr meself whilst the little one dozes whn suddenly i feel a tingly sensation on my knee. whn i look dwn.. lo & behold...there it was. a huuuugeee cockroach perched there... almost hyperventilating i swiped it with the newspaper which was right beside me. it escaped under the chair... & i started squeaking, calling out to my SIL askin' her for the sheltox. if i were @ my mum's i'd probably be screaming on the top of my lungs... but must save face. heh.
neways, my MIL responded & saw me perched on my bed looking terrified. whn she asked me why i wasn't asleep yet (seeing as it was almost midnight), i managed to squeak tht there was a cockroach. FIL came to the rescue with the sheltox & the broom & managed to kill the offending creature in 3 mins flat. Yippie!
but i m not asleep yet. cause i m still freaked out by the incident. it doesn't help tht hubby is nt back frm werk yet. *sob* i hav visions of dozens of cockroaches crawling up both me & lil N.I.Q.'s bdy. *shudder*
